In 1974, when the mystery of Ladakh was unveiled to the world, a visionary named Haji Din Mohammad (Abdu) opened two rooms of his residence to travelers. This marked the beginning of the Abdu family's journey to restore, protect, and share the magic of Ladakh with tourists from all over the world.
A generous host and enthusiastic entrepreneur, Haji Din Mohammad passed down his passion to his sons, Ghulam Mustafa and Ghulam Mohiuddin. From launching the travel company Adventure North in the early 80s to establishing The Hotel Dragon Ladakh, the family has been the cornerstone of hospitality in the region.
